Wolfgang Reinhardt studied Geodetic Sciences from 1977 to 1982 at the Technical University of Munich (TUM). After working as a freelancer, where he developed software for the analytical photogrammetry, he was scientific assistant at the Chair for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing of TUM from 1983 - 1989 where he received a Doctor of Engineering (Ph.D.) degree in 1990. After this he has worked for seven years in the GIS industry in various positions e.g. he was responsible for the Land Information Systems development at Siemens Nixdorf. Since 1997 Mr. Reinhardt is full Professor for Geoinformatics at the University of the Bundeswehr Munich and head of the AGIS research group. He is a member of the faculty of computer science and is teaching in computer science, information management and in civil engineering. His main research focuses on Geo Web Services, data integration and data management, usability of GI standards, optimization of GI processes and GI quality.
